Stylists will normally work on a prebuilt version of BELTS. If you want to build your own version of BELTS from the source you should consult Chapter 3, Developer.

First thing you'll need to do is establish $BELTS_HOME. To do this follow the instructions laid out in Installing BELTS to install a local working copy of BELTS. Once installed you should ensure the system is functioning correctly by browsing to the home page. If you can browse to the local home page, you're ready to edit BELTS.
